OH MY GOD I HATE DIBS YOU TACKY WHITE TRASH BASTARDS.  You do not own the street because you shoveled it.  This is not pre-annexation Dakota.  Tilling the land does not entitle you to the land.  It is a paved, city owned street.  If I shovel my neighbor’s gangway I do not get to blockade the gangway for my own private use. Stealing your “dibs” items is kind of a fun Winter ritual though.  I got a really decent stockpot last year.
